Ways to Get More Storage Out of Your Space

Just when you think you can’t possibly fit all your stuff, these storage ideas come to the rescue. There are lots of clever and stylish ways to stack, streamline and store your things.

In a small space, it can feel impossible to find a place for all of your stuff. And while I am a huge fan of decluttering, the fact is that for a small space to work well, you need ample storage options.

If you need more storage but are not sure where to begin, these 40 creative (stairway shelves), smart (unpackage before putting away) and unexpected (mini library) ideas are here to help.

What a beautiful mess! 😍😱🎉 What does your workspace look like?

Oh wow … this space is dreamy! What’s your favorite part? Look at this beautiful sewing space.

So excited for my new sewing room at our @dreamhomecometrue, it’ll have so much natural light, unlike my current sewing space in my basement. Things are finally rolling now that the City approved of our plans 2 weeks ago(it only took them 4 months🤨), we are hoping to break ground this month! I can’t wait to show you the sneak peek of the 3D rendering of our house, stay tuned!

p.s. I need your input, I’m looking into doing a guest room makeover at our current house right now, it’s a really sad room currently with literally just a mattress on the ground and nothing else. It’s small, dark with no windows, but somehow we are going to try to fit a king size bed in there. I’m thinking a mirror above the nightstands on each side of the bed to make the room appear bigger? But I heard mirrors in the bedroom are bad Feng shui? Do you believe in it or no? I am terrible with interior design so any tip would help! And give me your favorite furniture places to shop, local to Utah and online!

Craft Studio Tour – By @mysistersscrapper “My craft room space is where I like to say the magic happens. Everything from creating, designing, and shooting video is done in this space. Storage is always an issue for me. I do like to use glass containers for a lot of my small bits and other items.

I even use a glass container to store my tape as well as my twine and ribbon. I like to upcycle glass containers for storage. Tools that I use often are easily accessible on my table top. I utilize three spinners on my work table. I have a short video tour of my craft room where we even take a peek into the infamous hoard vault.”

Just 2 of my craft storage places!

Time for a reshuffle. I don’t like keeping things in the same place for long. I am somehow managing to fill all the boxes quite quickly with more yarn, fabric and books.

Hello! Sharing one corner of my office today. I finally reorganized and cleaned it up! My husband built the cube shelving, he is awesome! Here I store most of my scrapbook supplies. Also my faux flowers and such. I mainly use a system called Project Life so I have a big collection of the different kits.

The containers on the upper right are from IKEA. I can toss supplies for DIY projects inside until I have time to finish. Keeps everything neat and tidy! Hope you enjoy your pre-Friday!

My desk is finally cleared up from all the clutter so that I can start a new project. I did not realize all my Homegoods items on my desk until I started tagging them.

What’s the one best organizer in your craft room?

This spinner at Harbor Freight holds so much stuff! I used it for inks, mini stamps, and tiny inkpads. I don’t have it any more but I still get the most questions about it. Here are some of the answers 😁

Yes, they still have them!
They come in grey but you can spray paint it any color.

It takes forever to put together because it has a ton of bolts … I did it while watching TV one night. Not hard to do, but just alotta bolts.

They were only $19 last I checked!

Tell me your favorite organizer in your craft space … what is it? Where can we get one? And do you have a photo we can see on your Insta?

My craft room is empty 😱 Had to take a picture of my @deflecto_llc storage before I unmounted it. Love that it holds all my bits and pieces and I can actually see what I have 😍 also, perfect for my @emeraldcreekcs embossing powders 😜 Now on to thinking about how I want to organize my new craft room, once it’s done 😳

Here’s a snapshot of my creative space! I absolutely love my little art studio room. On this side I have my painting space with drawers full of all of my art supplies. On the opposite side of the room I have a separate work space dedicated to my computer/paperwork/business side of things, and which is also where I teach a grade 8 curriculum part-time.

The whole room works so well for all the work that I do and it makes me so happy to spend time here! The desks (drawers and table top) and chair are from #ikea and the paper tray and tabletop storage cubes are from michaels
